Weedeater
Farm raises Nigoras, Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats and Navajo Angora Goats.
We have a small herd that will be growing as we can find good foundation
stock to add to it or breed our own. Right now our herds consists of
one Navajo Angora doe, three Navajo Angora wethers, two Navajo Angora
bucks, one grade Nigora buck, and five Nigerian Dwarf Dairy does, a
Nigerian Dwarf Dairy buck and a Nigerian Dwarf Dairy wether.
Our
farm name came about because we got the goats originally to help with
weed control during the monsoons here. We went from nothing growing,
except what I watered daily, to six foot tall weeds within a few weeks.
I couldn't keep up with the weeds, so got the goats as weed eaters,
since I couldn't find a mechanical one to buy. Their poop is a good
fertilizer and can be used fresh, without having to be composted first,
like most.
